At the park, the boys & I sat on a park bench to eat a packed lunch. It was so nice. Then I decided to take some pics of the boys while I was out there. As I was taking their pictures two women came walking down the pathway to where I was at. They were coming from the parking lot, so it looked like they had just gotten there. As they came closer, I moved out of the way so they could keep walking, but they didn't. They stopped right where I was at. I looked up at them, like, 'can I help you'?, but they kept standing next to us. Now this park is huge....why do they need to be right where I am at? I was getting really uncomfortable because they were standing like 2-3 feet from where the boys & I were at. They were talking to each other in a language I did not know. I think they were from the middle east some where, but I am not for sure. I was getting that "uh-oh" feeling because they were standing so so close to us, so I packed the boys up and walked away from where we were at. I started walking towards the entrance area because I needed to use the bathroom. They followed us!!! I mean they were like a few feet behind us!
Well, they veared off the path so I started to relax. I decided to go into the bathroom. As I was holding the door open to get the stroller in, I saw them coming back my way! I hurried and got myself & kids in the big stall. I go to the bathroom (because I really, really had to go! lol), then I get my stuff ready to bolt out of there. The ladies walk into the bathroom. They just stood in there....not using the bathroom. I started to FREAK out. Were they going to try to steal my camera....or worse....one of my kids????? I whispered to Jaden that when I opened the door we needed to run out of there....don't even stop to wash your hands. I had my keys ready to stab them in their eyes if they tried something. I wasn't sure of when I should open the door. I was so scared they were going to try & take my kids! Why follow me into the bathroom & not use it?
THANK GOD another lady came into the bathroom. As soon as she came in, I opened the stall door & we bolted out of there. We ran to our car & got out of there!
Now, I don't know if anything would have happened, but my gut instincts were going nuts! I thank God he sent that lady in that bathroom...who knows...it could have been an angel!!!

Eating your placenta.
Mmmm....I bet your mouth is watering now! Hahaha!!! Yes, people actually eat their placenta (some call it the after birth). The reason women eat is for various reasons, the most common reason is to help with post-pardom depression. They eat it in different ways: frying it up, blending it up (then freezing it in ice-cube trays & popping them into a smoothie) and having them dried & put into a capsule.
There are actually placenta recipes! I saw one online that you can make pasta sause. Can you imagine this...
"Oh, Jennifer....this is the BEST spaghettii!! What is in the pasta sause?"
"Oh....fresh tomatos, garlic,onion and placenta"!!!
I can imagine my guests running straight to the bathroom to throw up! LOL!!
I am pretty sure that Joe would disown me! LOL!! Actually, I just asked him and he said shuttering,
"Ewww....Jennifer....that is discusting...Nasty"!!
No, I would NEVER eat my placenta. I don't even want to see my own placenta! But I admire the women who can do this. More power to them!

So the dentist stopped right there. He said that he knows of dentists that will hold them down, but he does not want to do that. He does not want to create a bad experience of the dentist for him. He referred us to a children's dentistry that does oral sedation. We have an appointment in the morning for a consultation. Then we will make an appointment to have the extraction done. I went to the specialist's website & this is what they said about the sedation:
Oral Conscious Sedation
Children who are more anxious may need an oral medication that is stronger than nitrous oxide. Several medications have a significant calming effect. When choosing a medication, the dentist will consider your child's anxiety level, his or her ability to cooperate and the treatment required.
With oral sedation, your child may be sleepy but can be aroused if necessary and can respond to simple commands. Minor side effects such as nausea or vomiting can occur with some medications.
Before a visit in which your child is to receive oral sedation, you should receive instructions about eating and drinking, what to expect and what to watch for after treatment. You may need to carry your child home after sedation. Your dentist should also discuss how your child will be monitored while he or she is sedated. You will need to stay for a short time after dental treatment has been completed so your child can be observed for full recovery and possible complications.
Jaden at the dentist, before he came to look at him:
Here is Jaden getting the numbing gel put on....this is seconds prior to the big freak out!!!

Yesterday, Jaden came to me, pointing to his teeth. I asked him if his tooth was loose. This should be happening sometime soon since he is 6 1/2. He said, no, but kept pointing to his tooth. I thought maybe he somehow got a cut on his gums. I looked closer to find two adult teeth growing BEHIND his baby teeth.
I turned around, grabbed my phone, locked myself in the bathroom & burst into tears. Now looking back on this, it seems like an extreme way of expressing my emotions, but it was better to do that then let Jaden see me crying about his teeth. I was so upset, not only were his teeth growing behind his baby teeth, but they were set back far & crooked!! Jaden is such a cute lil boy, how would this make him look? Did he have two set of teeth? I have heard about things like this! Were they going to have to pull his baby teeth....how would he handle this?
So I called my support team: Joe, Missy & my mom. I was crying so hard, I don't know if any of them understood me! LOL!! Once I got it together, I called the dentist. I was actually thinking about not even calling, but to bust into the office, demanding the dentist see us. But then my non emotional pregnant brain took over & convinced myself that I would look like an insane crazy lady if I did something like that.
So, I have an appointment this morning with the dentist. I looked online about this. It looks like there may be a good possiblity that they may need to pull his front baby teeth out to make room for the adult teeth coming in. We are catching it early, so it looks like the teeth will move back into position, hopefully straighted.
I will let you know what the dentist says when I get back!

"The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.
Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long and weighs half an ounce."
Yep, that is what my baby is doing!!! On Thursday I will officially be in my 2nd trimester!! Yea!!!!

Today as I was cleaning the kitchen, I decided to listen to Focus on the Family. It was a fitting podcast to listen to, "Coping as a Messie"! A Messie is someone who has a hard time keeping their home organized & clean.
Yes, that is me.
Some people who do not know me well, are shocked to find out that I am indeed a Messie! I would be so embarrassed if someone dropped in on me unannounced! More than likely you would find a counter full of dirty dishes, toys skewed across the living room floor, products & washcloths on the bathroom counter & my bed unmade.
Of course, you would see all of this between the hours of 7am-4pm. At 4pm, I look at the clock and realized that my Cleanie (Joe) will be on his way home soon!!!! I better get the house clean....and quick!!!
So I turn into a tazmannian cleaning devil and clean up the house in a whirl. Unfortunantly I am teaching my kids that the only reason to clean is when Daddy is comeing home or someone is coming over. Instead, I should be teaching them that when you pull something out, just put it away when you are done! It sounds so so so simple!!!
Yet, this is a concept I just can't grasp. I WANT to be a Cleanie so bad!!! I really, really desire to be this way...I just haven't figured out why I am a messie.
While listening to the podcast, I learned from a reformed Messie that the first thing to do is get it clean. Then keep it clean. So today I have been deep cleaning all morning. I first took Jaxon for a walk outside. I wanted to get a fresh start to my day. I breathed in the cool, misty air. When we got back, I open up every window in the house & turned on all the fans. I wanted to air the house out. I finished cleaning the kitchen, straighted up the living room & dining room. Vacumed the downstairs & carpet cleaned the living room carpets.
I am taking a break. I started to get nauseous from all the moving around. Jaxon is down for his nap, so I am going to get back to the cleaning. Next order of business: dusting, sweeping, bathrooms & some laundry!
To keep it clean....I think that in the mornings, I should to an hour of cleaning. Really, it doesn't take me more than an hour to clean up the whole house. If I do this everyday (and get the boys involved....they love cleaning!), all I have to do is maintain what we already cleaned. I don't know if this plan will work, but at least I am trying.
I can't wait for my Cleanie to get home to see what his Messie (aka Future Cleanie) has accomplished today!!!! (Joe is at a Men's Breakfast at Church & Jaden is over Nana and Gampies)

When I was pregnant with Jaden, I got the weirdest, funniest pregnancy advice from this lady. I almost forgot about it until the other day when I came across some Olive oil in my kitchen cupboard. Get ready for this:
When I told this one lady that I know that I was pregnant, she was like: "Two words: Olive Oil!!!" Huh??? She then told me an old secret passed down from her grandmother to her mother and to her. To prevent stretch marks, before you go to bed take all of your clothes off. Then lather yourself up with olive oil. Then take some Syran Wrap and start wrapping yourself up. Go to bed like this. In the morning take it off & you will feel super soft & she guaranteed that I would not have any stretch marks! She did this every night!
I wanted to bust out laughing when she told me this, but I just nodded my head and was like, "wow...I might have to try that..." She was DEAD SERIOUS too!!! I don't know her all that well, I didn't feel comfortable even talking about getting naked and wrapping myself up in Syran Wrap!!! LOL!!! And WHY would I want to have this stuff wrapped up around me?!?!?! Can you even imagine how this would feel? And the weird sounds it would make as I move around!! Not to mention how silly I would look walking around like a mummy as I get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night!!!!
This by far has to be the funniest, weridest advice I have EVER gotten!!!!!

I feel like a horrible wife: A soon as Joe gets home, we eat dinner & I put Jaxon to bed (Thank God he goes to bed at 7:30...sometimes 7:15 if I am lucky!!)....I am off to bed for the night. My head hits the pillow & I am out till morning. I feel like I have not seen my husband in weeks.
I feel like a horrible mom: I have not taken a single pic of my kids in a few weeks!! And as you know, that is SO not like me! I don't even have the energy to get the camera out of the camera bag!! How lazy is that?? I count the seconds till nap time & threaten Jaden not to yell & wake Jaxon up. Jaden has watched more TV lately than ever! When doing his school, I am sitting next to him & my eyes are closed as he does his math problems. I don't think I have left the house in weeks, unless we are going to Kroger or a doctor's appointment. I normally take the kids to someplace fun/educational at least once a week!
I feel like a horrible friend: With all of the H1N1 junk that has entered our house, then me getting sick, then I got a horrible cold sore on my inner lip....it hurts to even talk on the phone, & just being so tired I have not seen Missy in forever. I have not been able to talk to her like we are accustom.
I know that this pregnancy-no-energy-thing will pass soon. It is just really cramping my style!!! I am an on the go kinda gal. I can't wait to get back to normal!!!!

Joe went back to work today. We did some homeschooling, cleaned up...pretty normal day!
I am extra, extra tired today. Don't know if it is pregnancy related, sickness related or medication side effect related!
Oh, guess what, in one week from tomorrow, it will be my "12" week appointment (I think I will be more like 11 weeks)!!!! Yea!!!! Getting close to

Joe is a middle school assistant principal. There have been kids at his school throwing up & have been diagnosed with H1N1!! When he told me that, we treated him like he was carrying the plague! I made him take his shoes off in the garage, go straight to the shower, kids are not allowed to touch him until he is cleaned up.
So then last night (while me in bed), he starts hacking away. I decide to get up & sleep on the couch, more because I can't sleep with him hacking away!
He came home early today from school. He is super sick, has a fever of 102.4, still coughing, has the chills, ect. I read up on H1N1...sounds like he has it. First thing in the morning, I am sending him off to the DR to get tested. If he comes back positive, I need to call my OB to see if I need to get on preventative meds!
Since last night I have not had any physical contact with him (Just slept next to him..I didn't even kiss him last night because I was scared he was a carrier!) I have him locked up in our room. I am throwing bottles of gaterade thru the entrence of our door. I made him dinner, but took a few steps...tossed it on the bed & booked it out of there!
Jaden & I have Lysoled every thing that he could have touched in the house!! I have sanitized every nook & cranny of out home!
I hope that the boys and myself do not get this!!!!!!!

I haven't seen any pumpkins for sale yet, but as soon as I do, I am getting some!!! I also need to buy some new Mum's for my front stoop planters! I am going to wait a lil while on that though. My front stoop flowers are really looking great, I don't want to kill them early just because I can't wait for burgundy mums!
I am so excited for Jaxon....I don't think that I would ever say this, but Jaxon loves his crib!!!! He naps soooooooooo good in there! He takes a 3-3.5 hour nap every day!!!! And he sleeps through the night (mostly). I can now put him in his crib awake & he puts himself to sleep! It is so cute, he thinks his crib is so cool, he giggles as I put him in it! It is the BEST!!!
My Jaden, he is becoming like the Peanuts character, "Pigpen"!!! We have an area in our backyard where our small garden was last year. It is just a sectioned off area of dirt now. Jaden (and Jaxon too!) plays in this dirt box every day! The other day he came into the house after playing in the dirt. As he moved, clouds of dirt filled the air!!! Straight to the shower!!!! I don't mind their little dirty hands & all the muddy clothes that I have to wash all the time now. They are kids....they are suppose to be playing in dirt! It builds character! I don't want them afraid to get dirty. Jaden builds dirt volcanos, had all of his dump trucks & cars out there. Jaxon likes to dig in the dirt with an old bubble wand. Not sure why that is his favorite tool, but it is!
I have been thinking a lot about our wedding year. We got married in 1997. The year we got married, at least 4 other couples our age from our church all got married. There was a wedding every month it seemed! People probably thought we were all crazy kids getting married just because our friends were! We were all so young! 19,20,21 years old! I think I was the youngest at 19. Anyway, I look at us all now....we are all still married!!! All married with kids!! All of us happy (at least by what I can tell by facebook, lol!!)!!! 1997 was a good year to be married! Happy 12th Anniversary to Aamiee, Brittany, Sam, Mollie and husbands!!
