Seriously, I about flipped when I came across this tutorial on how to do freezer paper stenciling. A {whole} new world of crafting just opened up to me. As soon as I found out about it, my BFF came over & we gave it a go. It was pretty easy...and fun!! I made two shirts. My practice shirt was the 4th of July t-shirt. I made that for Jaden using a shirt he already had. I used the "Sweet Treats" Cricut Cartridge that Missy bought to cut out the fire cracker and the number 4. I used my "Calligraphy" Cricut Cartridge to cut out the "th". We just put the freezer paper on the mat & cut it with the Cricut! Easy-Breezy!

After I painted those on, using the freezer paper as a stencil (btw, in the tutorial Cheri is right, the only place I could find that paper was at WalMart), I started on my t-shirt, "Mama to 3 Boys". I wanted to paint their names under "boys", but I did not think I would be able to cut out their names that tiny & make it look good. I think that it looks fine the way it is anyway.
The thing that took the longest was cutting out the lettering with an exact-o knife (btw...this is one of my favorite words to say....not sure why...). It took some time, but I think it was sooooo worth it!! Don't you?? I wore it out today & got a few compliments on it! I can't wait to make some more.
As you can tell from this photo...I am just {glowing} from making this craft!! Hahaha!!! (forgive the table mess...we are messy crafters!!!Here is the t-shirt Missy made as a gift for a friend's daughter. She used the "Sweet Treats" and "Calligraphy" cartridges for the design. Isn't this shirt yummy??

I am pretty sure freezer paper stenciling will be my new crafting {addiction}!!!
