Sick-o

Ugh....what a crazy few days!!

Jaxon was suppose to get tubes put in his ears on Thursday. We were all ready. Our oldest, Jaden stayed the night with his grandparents, I got myself emotionally ready for putting him under anesthesia, had his bag packed for the next day, had my directions on how to get the to surgery center ready, ordered a pizza for him to eat as his "last meal", Joe took the day off of work to be there and we prayed over him as we put him to bed.

Well, while watching American Idol (Crystal should have won) I started feeling really sick. By 10:30ish I started throwing up.....and it did not stop till I was in the ER the next day for dehydration!! With it coming out both ends (TMI...sorry!!) every 10-15 minutes and breastfeeding my 9 week old, there was nothing left!! Not only was I sick, but Joe got sick too!! Joe is convinced that we got food poisoning (the pizza) but I think it was a virus 'cause Jaxon never got sick and a few days ago Jaden had a stomach bug that made him throw up a few times & Jaxon had diarrhea. It did not effect them like it did us...man did it ever get us! We were puking in pure harmony....lol!

While I was throwing up I kept thinking that maybe this was God's way from keeping us getting tubes put in his ears that day. By 4am I told God, "Ok...I get it...you can call this all off now...I won't be taking him in today!" But I think God must of had other plans? I don't know about you, but when I am really sick like that I start thinking, "What did I do? Am I being punished someway? What sin did I commit"? I of course start asking God for forgiveness for every lil thing that I have ever done wrong. "God please forgive me for speeding....(puke)...and forgive me for telling Jaden that if he did not clip his toe nails that he was going to grow hoofs then turn into a deer...(puke)"!!

Of course God does not give us food poisoning/viruses for sins that have been committed...but when you are at that point you don't want to take any chances!!

If I ever do dishes by hand...

I will do them in style! Haha!!

Anyone who knows me well, knows how much I HATE to do dishes. I avoid washing dishes out by hand like the plague! If all the dirty dishes do not make it into the dishwasher the first round, they have to wait till the next round! I only wash dishes out by hand if I run out of dishwasher detergent (those are sad, sad days) or if I have a pot that can't possibly fit in the dishwasher.

So why I made a dishmat is beyond me! LOL!! Maybe it will inspire me to do more dishes by hand. What ever reason I made this, I think that I am actually looking forward to using this mat. Hey...if I gotta do dishes...why not do 'em style!!

If you want to make your own dish mat, it is super easy! I was inspired by the blog by Noodlehead. If you want to make one, check here for a tutorial (and other cute sewing tutorials!)!

My New-Do

I got my hair cut! First off, I HATE getting my hair cut...thus the reason for my long hair! I haven't gotten my hair cut in....wait for it...a year!!! I know that is horrible...I just hate having people touch my hair..I always end up with a head ache (I have one now, by the way!). I think my hair must have been getting tooooo long 'cause my Mom took me to get my hair cut! LOL

When I sat down in the chair at the salon, the stylist took one look at my hair & said, "yeah...we're gonna have a lot of hair to donate"! I didn't even think about even donating (honestly, it never crossed my mind). But I had so much hair I was able to donate 3 pony-tails to
! Nearly 30 inches combined!! Can you believe I had that much hair??

While I like my new hair cut, I am not happy that it is this short. I wanted to go shorter...but not this short! The only consolation that I have is that my hair went to a good cause. I hope a lil girl (or boy!) enjoys my red hair!

eCuteness.com

Me: "Jaden, are you going to get married when you grow up"?
Jaden: "Why Yes! I just need to log onto eHarmony.com to help me find a wife. You know, like on TV? They help you find beautiful wifes & handsome husbands. But I don't know how to log on!"
LOL!!! Jaden CRACKS me up!!!!

Lucky Me

Hardy-har-har!

I have Mastitis.

What is mastitis you may ask? It is an infection in the breast while you are breastfeeding. Y'day I started feeling achey. I kept telling Joe that I felt like I was about to get sick. I had also noticed that my left breast had red splotches on it. I just thought it was because I was leaning on it or somthing.

Then in the middle of the night I woke up feeling horrible. I had the chills really bad. I got up & took some Tylenol & advil. I jumpped in a hot bath to warm up & stop the chills. That helped a little. Afterwards I fed Jett, then Joe took him out of the room so I could get uninterrupted sleep (thank you Joe!!!). I slept close to 4 hours!! I woke up feeling good. I thought that my body just fought the flu off.

Well, about 6 hours from when I took the medicines (my wearing off time), I started feeling the "flu" come back. Super achey. Then when I was feeding Jett I noticed that the red blotches were still there.

Lightbulb.

I thought to myself, "I wonder if I have mastitis"? I googled it & I had all the symptoms (except having pain while nursing...thankgoodness!!!).

I called my ob/gyn but got the dr oncall. I told her all my symptoms. She said I definanly have mastitis & she is calling in the antibiotic Bactrim (normally they perscribe a penicillin based med but I am allergic to them....again, lucky me!). Joe is at the pharmacy now picking it up.

So....now I have to rest, keep nursing, put hot compresses on the afflicted breast & keep taking my meds. If I am not better by Tuesday I have to go in...I risk it turning into a cyst. Yikes!!!

Well....I am going to put my iTouch down & watch tv till Joe gets back (gotta keep an ear out for the boys) then I am going to nap.

Wish me a speedy recovery!

Goggles On?

Not sure if I just have my mama/auntie goggles on...but I am pretty sure these are the cutest kids EVER! ;) I did an impromptu photo shoot y'day at the downtown library. We went there for a puppet show. I am sooooo glad I brought my "good camera" with me, 'cause I caught some amazing shots! (at least I think so!) They may not be technically correct, but I sure do like them! Especially since the models are my boys, my niece & nephew!!

This photos is my {favorite} out of the whole bunch!! How cool is that window! This will be a great photo for the cousins to have as a keepsake photo!

I just love that caution cone...cause Jaxon is just throwing caution to the wind! This is so {totally} Ky!! LOL!!!

My heart melts at those {dimples}!!!! And those eyes....breathtaking if I do say so myself!!

Sweet brother & sister moment! I just {heart} them!!!!

Jaden & his {sweet} grin :)

Ms.Diva...er...I mean, Ms.Kiana! And that is her natural pose too! Future model?

Jaxon's expression {cracks me up}!!!!

Swagger Wagon...So Funny!!

Drooling....

My new favorite blog:

I just absolute love Shelley's style...I would totally re-do my house to look like hers if....

1. I had the money to re-do my house

2. If Joe would let me.

Since I neither 1 or 2 will happen...I will just have to drool over hers!! :) Go check out her blog!!

Middle Child Syndrom?

I hope that Jaxon does not feel left out since he is the middle child. I am working hard at making sure that he does not feel left out. I try to give equal time to each of my boys. But, I have been looking back at my blog & I seem to neglect Jaxon on here!

Jaxon is my ornery boy! I can tell that he is going to have a real funny personality when he gets older. I am pretty sure that he will act just like his Dad! Speaking of Dad...Jaxon is a REAL Daddy's boy! I am like chopped-suey when Daddy is in the room. All he wants is his Dad!

Jaxon is my skinny lil guy! Of all my kids, he is the only one who is not even on the percentile chart for his weight. Not only does he act like his Daddy, he has his Daddy's build! Daddy was skinny (still is!) like Jaxon.

Jaxon is really into cars right now. He likes playing with his big brother Jaden. They fight the majority of the time (sigh) over toys, but they still love eachother. It is so fun seeing them play with trains, run around the back yard & wrestle. You can tell they genuinely love eachother.

Speaking of brotherly love, Jaxon just LOVES the baby! He is always trying to kiss him. It is cute, but when he is trying to get in the baby swing to kiss him it gets bothersome! LOL! Jaxon also adores our dog, "Uzzie" (aka Buzzie).

Jaxon has a lot of love in his lil heart. He has a temper on him (from me? Naaa...we will pass along the blame to Daddy...lol) though. He is going thru a stage now....terrible twos??? I hope this stage passes FAST....I get tired of punishing him all day! Haha!

(His hair is not this blond...I had to lighten the photo)

My favorite moments with Jaxon are at night. Right before I put him to bed we rock in the rocking chair. We have a song. We sing it every night. It is the highlight of my day. This is "our song":

Jettie-Boy

This is my nic-name for Jett. For Jaden, I called him Pumpkin-head. Jaxon, I call him Gooba-Gooba. Not sure how I picked those nic-names...I just did :)

Well, Jett is 6 weeks old. I can't believe it!! Hard to believe my lil baby is getting so big!! And when I say big, I mean it! LOL!! He is 11lbs (according to the scale at the Adventure Science Center in Nashville). I believe it 'cause he was 10lbs 8 oz at the doctors at 5 weeks old. He is my chunky-monkey. So unlike my Jaxon...he is Mr.Toothpick! Jaden...well, he is perfect (in every way!!).

Here are some recent pics of my Jettie-boy (tell me your heart does not skip a beat when you look at his eyes!!!):His eyes take my breath away!!!

{Tote-aly Awesome}

I found a neat tutorial on how to make a reversible tote bag. I have been wanting to make one for quite some time, but never really got around to making one (hmmm....wonder why? Maybe because I homeschool, have a very active toddler & just gave birth to my third boy? I wonder if that has anything to do with it??). So....here is my tote-aly awesome tote:

I just {heart} this fabric!! I have had it for a few months, but everytime I went to use it, I would put it down. I wanted to keep it for something special, just did not know what I wanted it for. It came *soooo* close to becoming an apron, but I decided to go for the tote. Figured I would use it more that way (I always forget to use the apron I already have). So far I haven't...but I am sure I will soon :)

OH....BTW, I got the laptop fixed!! I can finally type on it!! Yea!!!!

Mother's Day Gift

I am posting this on here early 'cause I know my mom doesn't keep up w/my blog ;) Here is what I made for my mom for mom's day:

(Don't look too closely...made a bunch of mistakes! Oh...the buttons are old ones from Grandma!)

(Me...modeling the apron!)

I got this idea from a tutorial from a blog by Aly&Ash , (remember, I have no original ideas!)...a tea towel cake!!! The only thing I really changed was that I added an apron that I made for my mom. I made this for less than $10!! I already had the supplies to make the apron & had the ribbon...the rest of the stuff (platter, 2 towels, utensils & flowers) were from Dollar Tree!

Happy Mothers Day!!!!!!

Catch Up

So.....

•My laptop is still not fixed. The keyboard came in, but will not be installed till Monday (or sometime after). That is why I have not been blogging lately.

•Nashville flooded. A lot of my time has been glued to the tv watching the news. It is sooooooo sad. My hearts breaks for Nashville.

•Jaxon has to get tubes in his ears at the end of this month. I will update you more on this later.

Well....I gotta go, Joe is home!
