All 5 of these wrist supports are in my ESTY shop :)
5 in a Row Baby!
Didn't think I could do it...didya! Not only did I make 5 things in a row...I actually made 8! I made 3 additional wrist supports (not shown) to give away as gifts. Pretty proud of myself!
Wrist Supports for Keyboard & Mouse
Do you or someone you know suffer from carpel tunnel? I made some wrist supports for just this problem. Not only are they super cute, they provide heat therapy for your wrists by heating them up in the microwave. Very soothing for your wrists!
I am selling them in our ETSY shop. More to come too!!!

Knitters Kaddy
Last night one of my SIL's came over and had me make a roll up knitting supply case for her. I looked at a few online and came up with this....
Man...this sucker was hard to make!!! I wish I would have looked at a tutorial on how to make one, I am sure that it would have been so much easier! It took me like four hours to make. Thankfully my SIL was patient with me. It was nice to just hang & catch up :) It was worth all the trouble making just to see how excited she was at the finished project!! And I am pretty proud of myself for making this with no tutorial! Go me! :)
btw...this project doesn't count in my crafters resolution....lol, this was a prior commitment craft! ;)

Crafters ADD
Hello, my name is Jenna......and I have a crafting problem.
So I was talking with my BFF this morning (first call of the day out of like 20) and I came to the realization...I do not like making the same thing twice. I don't know why. I will make something & people will be be like, "wow...you could sell a ton of those"! And I agree...but I get bored easy. I like challenge. I love to create....not so much RE-create.
Not a great quality to have when you have an etsy shop! LOL! If you look at the etsy shop & look at all the fabric items...there are like no two thing that are the same! I have a million "wish list" things I want to try to make & the list keeps growing....so I never get back to the projects I have made in the past.
So....here is my Feburary 22 resolution:
This week I will make 5 of the same thing before I go onto my next project.
OK, blogger friends....if you see that I have fallen off the wagon (me posting a bunch different of stuff)..call me on it!!
I think I may possibly have crafters ADD!

Moda Pillow
Look what I made with the Moda Fabric I got on Friday....
Oooooo....I love this fabric soooooooooo much! I actually want to make a quilt around the yellow fabric. I might wanna mix some Lily & Will II fabric (also by Moda) in with it. I am not sure...I will have to see how it would look like in person. But deninatly, I love the yellow floral pattern. In is in the "It's a Hoot" line by Momo by Moda.
For some reason I am really into bees (wonder why? LOL!) lately...so bees really inspired me as I was making this pillow. I didn't use any special techniques, just sewed together two different fabrics & whip stitched it closed.
Oh, I did want to say that when I bought this fabric, I was not sure if it was really worth the money. Sure, it was out of this world gorgeous, but it seemed liked the same quality at the stuff I get at Hobby Lobby. It wasn't until I started cutting & sewing with it did I feel a difference! I am in {love}!

Calling All Crafty Friends
My sweet crafty friends.....
A lil boy needs our help.
A friend's friend's friend's (got that?) lil boy is in the hospital with meningitis that resulted in encephalitis (swelling of the brain) that has caused him to lose all speech and mobility. As you all know, my lil Jett suffered from meningitis, but we were so blessed that Jett came out of it with no problems. This sweet lil boy was not so lucky. I read his mom's blog and cried like a baby. It brought back such raw emotions, the memories I had.
I took this from the facebook page in support of lil Luke:
Friends and Family of the Akerstroms will be holding a fundraising auction to help pay medical and travel expenses for Luke and his family -
Luke Akerstrom is a smart, funny, adorable 6 year old boy who used to play his violin in the Jacksonville Symphony. But 47 days ago he suffered from a 30 minute seizure and has been in the hospital ever since. Read his full story at www.prayforluke.com
Luke had spinal meningitis that resulted in encephalitis (swelling of the brain) that has caused him to lose all speech and mobility. He has been at Wolfson's Children's hospital for 47 days, with no improvement. We got word this week that his progress has actually declined and doctors are recommending that the family fly to the Mayo Clinic in MN for further treatment.
Luke's mom Brandi is a teacher in Jacksonville FL and her husband Magnus works at Johnson & Johnson Vision Care in Jacksonville.
If you are crafty, or an artist, or run a home business or just need to clean out your closets - then you can help Luke by making a donation - of an item to be auctioned off on Ebay. All proceeds - minus shipping costs - will go to Luke and his family! All you have to do is e-mail or text a picture of the item you are willing to donate and Lisa Rossi will start an Ebay auction for your item, she will reimburse you for shipping costs when the auction is over, you will need to ship the item and Lisa will start a fund to give to the family with 100% of proceeds made off the sale of the items.
If you are reading this on a friends page and don't know Lisa - contact your friend because they do, or they are friends of the Akerstroms, or they know this story and want to help!
E-mail or text pictures to lwrossi@bellsouth.net
So, what kinds of items can you donate?
If you would like to may a direct donation of funds, you can do so through PAYPAL send to lwrossi@bellsouth.net

Fabric {love}
I am in love...
In love with Stitcher's Playhouse...it is the cutest, most wonderful place I have ever been! Honestly, I wanted to break out into dance...running around the store, twirling fabric in the air.
breath. breath.
I never knew designer fabric could be so..so...beautiful! I could have seriously went bankrupt! I tried to control myself...I bought 3.5 yards (combined) of fabric. Man...I wish they had coupons! Anyway, here are the fabric I chose...and it was soooooooooooooo hard...I love them ALL!
Here are the breakdowns by designer..
These 3 are by Amy Butler....
These 2 are by Moda...
And these 2 fabrics are by Ty Pennington (I didn't even know he designed fabrics!)
If you are ever in the Nashville area...go to Stitcher's Playhouse!

Valentines Owl Pop Tutorial
Since my Angry Bird cake, I have been obsessed with fondant! I decided to make some cute fondant owl pops using fondant & dum-dum suckers! These make the cutest valentines day gift for your child's teacher!
Supplies
Fondant (I used white & pre-colored fondant by Wilton's)..got them both at WalMart for under $10 each
Dum-Dum Suckers
toothpicks
water
food coloring (opt)
Directions
1. Mix the white & pre-colored red fondant together to get the color pink you want!
2. Roll your fondant in a ball, approx 1.5" in diameter. Sit it on top of the sucker and push down, covering the sucker. Doing it this way, you will have no crease marks!
3. Shape the fondant in an oblong shape & give your owl some pointy ears!
4. To make some wings, roll your fondant into a ball & use a toothpick to make a "c". Pinch the "c" and shape it into wings. Attach your wings (and ALL fondant peices with a TINY dab of water...don't use too much or you will get a sticky, runny mess!!!) to the body.
5. Now comes the fun part!!! Decorate your owl!!! Use different colors & shades of fondant to make your owl cute! Be creative!! I used different shades of pink (by adding white & red together) and green (added some white & a tiny bit of yellow to the pre-colored green to achieve this color green). I couldn't help myself...I added a lil pink heart to the owl's behind! :)
I wrapped up the owl in a cello bag, added a tag "Hoo loves you?" and attached it with some green ribbon!
Hoo....wouldn't want to get an owl pop like this?!?!?!

Angry Birds Birthday
I am officially the mother of an eight year old!!!! How did that happen?!?!? Didn't I JUST bring him home from the hospital??
{sigh}
Well, in one of my previous posts, I shared some pictures of an Angry Bird's Cake I made for Jaden. The characters were made of fondant, covering a dum-dum sucker! I wanted to share some more pics of Jaden's birthday with you!
I added some white eggs & a golden egg to some cupcakes! Got this stand at WalMart for $5!
Ok, I know this looks sooooooooo corny...but Jaden love the balloon eggs hanging from the light fixture! LOL! BTW, the pic in the background is his newborn pic!!
I got a free balloon template for some Angry Bird Balloons HERE. I hung them up in the door way (really, a room way..lol)
Jaden LOVED his cake!! It was ALL worth it just for that smile!!!
My parents got some iron on paper and printed the red bird & pig king onto a tshirt for Jaden! What a great idea!!
Some of Jaden's aunts & uncles made up a real live slingshot game for him! They did some work in photoshop & made the cutest packaging for him! Best idea ever!! They bought some real angry birds, a slingshot & then made the pigs themselves with a shatterproof bulb, paint, foam & glue! Added a few blocks...and now Jaden has his own Angry Birds game!!
Me & my "baby"! (please excuse my non make-up face! I have had very little sleep for 5 days now due to Jett teething & not feeling good. I am also feeling under the weather myself! I put all my energy into this party & not on my looks..lol)
Jaden & his game!

Angry Birds Cake
"Mom...I want an Angry Birds birthday this year!"
"Sure"!
Ummm...ok...now that I am committed...how do I do this? LOL!
If you do not know what Angry Birds are, it is an addictive iTouch/iPhone app game. Our whole family loves the game, but especially Jaden! There are no official Angry Birds birthday party supplies or cakes...so you are on your own. If you google "angry bird cake" one photo comes up for almost every website provided. Someone made a super awesome cake. Mine is no where near as cute as hers but I am pretty happy with how mine turned out!
The birds & pigs are made of fondant. I wrapped the fondant around dum-dum suckers. Perfect to stick in the cake. Obviously my frosting work could use some improvement...lol! BTW, I did not bake the cake...I went to the bakery & asked for an unfrosted cake. Worked out perfect!
Jaden loves the cake!! His birthday is tomorrow (2/6)...he is going to be 8 years old...I can't believe it!! If I didn't love that munchkin so much, I would have not gone thru all this trouble in making this cake. But I do!!! I love my Jaden soooooooooooooo much!!!!
I will post more pics of the party in my next post...but for now...enjoy the cake!
