Yellow & Gray Diaper Cake
Some friends of ours had a surprise baby shower yesterday! Not only was the shower a surprise, but they are keeping the gender of their baby a surprise too! As a gift, I made them a diaper cake :) Included in this diaper cake is 40 diapers & 4 receiving blankets ( the 4th one is in the middle of the cake...you just can't see it!)...all on a silver platter!! Since they do not know if they are having a boy or girl, I tried to do a gender neutral themed cake.

If you have been following my blog, you know that I have been struggling on if I should change my blog name. I love my blog name, Simply Jenna. Unfortunately a "bad" website took my name....and if you accidentally type in that url...well, lets just say the only thing that will make your eyeballs clean again is Windex!
So after months & months of trying to find a new blog name....

has been born!
I wanted to get rid of my name...I want to take the blog more off of me & more onto what I love best: Crafting, sewing & designing! I am excited about the new direction the blog is taking! Don't worry...my blog posts will still stay the same...I just wanted to get rid of my name from the title!

Pumkin Patch 2011
I couldn't help but share these photos....
...even though I am super wearing of sharing any family photos (remember how that person stole a bunch of photos off my blog of my littlest boy?)...but they are just TOO cute not to share! Sorry...but I am a proud mama here!! Plus I put water marks over their faces for added security ;)
The pumpkin patch was soooo much fun! I just LOVE going! We have gone to this particular patch every year since we moved to Nashville....My oldest was my youngest's age!! So that would be, what....8 years!! Wow!! I can't believe we have been living here that long! Just seems like y'day that we were trampling around in Ohio snow!
Please, if you can, go find a pumpkin patch near you & go! You will love it!!

Banana Bread
Oh...I wish you could smell my house right now...it smells of freshly baked banana bread!!!

My Roses
Late this spring, I went to Lowe's to look for some flowers. I went at exactly the perfect time because they had just marked down their rose bushes to $2! I loaded up on 6 bushes!
After planting, feeding & watering my bushes, here is the fruit of my labor...
They look even better in a mason jar, huh?!?!? Too bad that your computer doesn't have smell-o-vision, 'cause they smell sooooo pretty!!!

Totally Wicked Night!
Can ya guess what BFF & did??? We got wicked!! Ok, not really, but we did have a wicked time! We went to go see the Broadway musical, Wicked. It was
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
Best musical I have ever seen...well, only my second one (Legally Blond the musical, was my first...that one was super-duper cute!!)...but it was still the best!! I can see why it is so popular!
Our {SHOP} treated us to tickets! We have never spent any money or rewarded ourselves, everything goes back into our business...but we felt that we have worked really hard, so why not! We have been good all year...why not get a lil Wicked!!
Let me tell you...we had the BEST seats! 6th row!! I could see the tiny mic's on the actor's heads! The costumes, dancing, music, acting, lighting...was so good! But the story line was even better! I can't stop thinking about it!
There was this cute lil 13 year old boy sitting next to me, this was his 5th time seeing this musical! He is a broadway buff! His dream is to act on broadway. I should have gotten his autograph, cause I am sure that he will one day!
Now I got the musical bug! I want to go to them all! I am for sure gonna go take my oldest son to see the musical, Mary Poppins in the spring. I want to start introducing him to the arts!

Surprise Date #3
It is my turn.
My turn to take my hubs, Joe, on a surprise date.
I took my Joe to a corn maze & hay ride. I wanted to do something "seasonal". The "rules" for our date are as follows:
{1} You have to surprise your date by not telling them where you are taking them
{2} It must be a place, event or activity that they enjoy
I broke both rules!
As soon as we got the end of the street, I broke down & told him. Corn mazes & hay rides are more of my kind of thing, not his. Especially since he has bad seasonal allergies.
OK, so I kinda blew it with my date choice...but at least we got to spend some time together, doing something that we have never done before! That is what matters most! Plus, we did get some pretty awesome subs at "Firehouse Subs" and we went hardwood floor shopping after we left the farm!
Oh...and let's not forget...I rented a boy movie, "Transformers 3"...we watched that when we got home!

BTW...we have got some mad corn maze skills! We go through a 6 acre maze in 14 minutes...average times is 35!! We would make excellent lab rats :)

OK, not really, but I like to pretend that I am...hehehe! If you can't tell, I am a "Superstar" nut! I have watched that movie like a gazillion times with my sister & we practically have the whole movie memorized!
I like to keep my lil Mary Catherine Galliger next to me while I craft so that I can always remember that I am my own rainbow :)
